The UMN Bicycle infrastructure group is focusing on creating a bike-friendly atmosphere in the city of Falcon Heights.

After meeting with the Mayor and commission members of this city, as well as receiving input from bike commuters, we've devised a plan to improve bicycle infrastructure in the area. First, this initiative includes adding bike racks and a "fix-it" station to the popular community park, as well as re-paving the bike path on Roselawn, and implementing a strip of native vegetation along the Fairview bike lane. Next, we propose the institution of a Nice Ride station at the new A-line stop on Snelling and Larpenteur, as this area is a major hub of transportation. It is our hope that through the development of bike-friendly infrastructure, we can convert Falcon Heights into a connection hub, linking the A-line, the community park, the UMN campus, and the new Good Acre food hub.
